About

Who's Sarah Singer?Hello! I am a mission-driven leader with over a decade of expertise in community-based mental health care, managing non-profit teams, and global health. After eight years of leading and managing mental health programs at Partners In Health (PIH), I launched my own organizational consulting (Sarah Singer Consulting) and Career/Life Design Coaching business (Life’s Your Adventure) to help organizations and individuals going through change deepen their impact on the world.Former Global Mental Health, Public Health, and Non-Profit Leader -> Coach & ConsultantI was most recently the Associate Director of Mental Health Programs and Partnerships for the Partners In Health Cross-Site Mental Health Program and advanced through the organization through five different positions (including Mental Health Team Coordinator, Associate, Officer and Program Manager, Senior Program Manager prior). Together with a cross-national team, I led technical advisement to mental health service delivery development across eleven care delivery sites in Africa, South and Latin America, Asia, and the United States. I focused on bridging sites to develop cross-site collaborations in global mental health care delivery, through which between 2016-23 PIH saw 350,000+ visits for over 70,000+ patients at over 105 PIH-supported facilities. I found a love for all things strategy, resource development, and award management, and developed systems to oversee the first truly cross-site grant in PIH's history totaling over $20,000,000 across six years.Previously, I worked in social-justice oriented community-based programs in India, Israel, and local communities in the United States. I also worked at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in the Benson-Henry Institute of Mind-Body Medicine, conducted mental health research at Boston University, and interned at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland. Building relationships and partnerships are at the heart of what I do, and I've participated in workshops and speaking engagements with the WHO, Harvard University, and Boston University.I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Boston University including a Master's Degree of Public Health in Social/Behavioral Sciences and Health Policy/Management, and Bachelor's in Health Science/Psychology minor at Sargent College. How I can help youI'm passionate about program development and implementation, strategic planning, developing systems, and navigating teams through change management to improve organizational effectiveness, leadership, coaching, capacity building and mentorship, operations, adapting evidence-based interventions to cultural and health systems contexts, resource mobilization and financial management. Now for the fun stuffI love traveling and have lived, worked in, and traveled to over 40 countries, and am an outdoor adventure fanatic. My family and I are embracing a digital slomad lifestyle and are traveling around the world while working and running our own businesses.
